Next up on our Track by Track with Jesse McCartney special, “Seasons.”
JESSE: “We had a tough time figuring out what to call this song because there were so many possibilities. It’s called ‘Seasons (My Love Will Never Change)’ and it’s a really good, feel good type of song. It has a old-school kind of vibe to it. It’s a song that I will be playing live and very soulful, piano driven.”
“It’s a song that says, no matter what happens, highs or lows, that love is the most important thing; nothing is going to stop us from ruling the world. It’s a great record and one of my favorites,” Jesse added, “and that’s the album.”

Next up on our Track by Track with Jesse McCartney special, “One Night.”
The 23-year-old musician shared with us about the upcoming tune, “It’s a song that I wrote and recorded with Kevin Rudolf and Jay Cash. We wanted to do something on the record that was sort of mid-tempo and we were actually listening to some Bono records and really wanted to have an anthemic vibe to it. “One Night” is really an anthemic ballad and reminds me of Bono’s melodies. This record quickly became one of my favorite songs on the album.”

Jesse McCartney wants his fans to “Shake.” The bouncy R&B tune will be featured on McCartney’s next album, Have It All, which is due out in January. The track offers sexy lyrics about falling in love that, according to the singer, can really mean anything you want them to.
“It’s definitely open for interpretation,” he told MTV News. “I’m really excited about ‘Shake.’ We decided that would be the first single to represent Have It All and … I felt like that song was kind of the closest to [2008's] Departure and it was a way to sort of reacquaint the fans with my music.” READ MORE

Pop singer Jesse McCartney will follow 2008′s “Departure” with “Have It All,” his fourth full-length set for a January 2011 release on Hollywood Records. The singer worked with “Departure” producer Sean Garrett, Kevin Rudolf and Young Money rapper Tyga on the album, which was previewed with the release of first single “Shake” last month.
“It’s full of sexy, four-on-the-floor beats with big pop melodies… but yet again, some rhythmic, R&B stuff that’s pushing the envelope a little bit more for me as an artist,” McCartney tells Billboard.com. “I wanted to make sure that there were no boundaries. I’m 23, and I wanted to make sure there was nothing boxing me in musically or content-wise.”
McCartney spent a year working on the 11-track album with a variety of writers and producers, including Garrett, Rudolf and “a bunch of new guys from Dr. Luke’s camp” like Ammo and J. Cash. The singer will perform the Ammo-produced “Shake” on “Live! with Regis and Kelly” on Tuesday (Oct. 19).
After co-penning Leona Lewis’ “Bleeding Love” as well as songs for Jordin Sparks and Toni Braxton, McCartney says that he is spending “a lot of time in the studio writing for other artists” with Rudolf and J. Cash while preparing for the release of “Have It All.” Although McCartney did not confirm the rumor that he is writing songs for Justin Bieber’s next album, he says that “I’ve been writing for a lot of big artists in the last couple months, and it’s everything that you dream of as an artist… to be taken seriously as a writer, not just as a singer.”
Released in May 2008, “Departure” peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard 200 and featured the Hot 100 top 10 single “Leavin’.” “Shake” debuted at No. 90 on the Hot 100 earlier this month.
